latest news | book your appointments online
The practice is very pleased with the new software that enables patients to book their appointments, request repeat prescriptions and allows them to message the practice online. We recognise that as we now all lead busier lives it is important that we develop systems and processes that make access to our services more simple and convenient for our patients.
You just need to complete a simple registration process, and then you can simply book, view or cancel appointments online, regardless of the time of day (or night).
Other features of the software are:
Once you have registered and logged on you will then see a list of your current repeat medication, you can request a repeat prescription (please allow 48 hours) and then either collect it from the surgery or nominate online a pharmacy to collect this for you.
The software also enables patients to securely leave messages for the practice (please note for safety reasons, this facility is for non urgent, non clinical matters only) and to change personal details, i.e. change of address, email address and mobile phone number.
The development of appointments online is intended to improve the convenience of booking or rearranging appointments for patients particularly when the surgery is closed. However, patients are still welcome to call the practice to make an appointment in the usual way should they prefer. We have made sure that there is an equal balance of appointments available for patients who telephone or come in to the surgery as there are for online appointments. In the initial stages we are only making available GP appointments online so that we have time to test out the system and iron out any problems before making other clinics available via this route.
To use this service you need to register at the practice and collect a log in and password from reception. For security reasons, if you register over the phone we will send you a log in and password to your registered address.
Should you have any problems registering or booking appointments online, please speak to a member of the reception team at either surgery in the first instance.
